Hey Ben,
sorry to bug you, but my blog (Fuzzy) is down again. It's been gone for a few weeks but I didn't want to bug you at first in case it was just regular maintenance or something. Thanks in advance for your help.

I brought fuzzy (Eric, that's yours right?) and klueblog back up. They were the two highest trafficked blogs that haven't been moved yet.

Would have been done already but I had a meeting out of state to go to yesterday. I just got back in town an hour ago. I'll see what I can do tonight after catching up with family/work.

server hardware

Early this morning the CPU fan and IO fan on the server gave out and the server went down. I've replaced the IO fan and cleaned out the CPU fan. The server is back up but still complaining somewhat. I'm ordering a new CPU fan and am currently shopping for a brand new server to host on. Thanks for your patience. We are and will continue to be ad-free and a volunteer effort.

    Kathie has ordered the new CPU fan. It should be here by Friday.

    The CPU fan I cleaned out Monday died today. I cannibalized another server to replace it. All is well. We'll be upgrading to a newer server very soon.

    Was the failure of the fans due to the heat wave? ... As for me, my Firefox ate my Favorites list and my work and family have eaten my blogging time! I'm hoping that autumn and the return of Ontario kids to school after Labour Day will mean I can add to Energetic Neurons again.

    It sure has been hot here in St. Louis but I'd guess that the age of the servers and the level of airborne particulates in the building where they live are larger factors.

    * Looks wise. *

    Yes, dust, heat and power fluctuations are the enemies of computers.
